eorHQ 6-Dimension Score

eorHQ organizes Employer of Record public signals into weighted dimensions that map to what finance, People, and Legal teams usually compare during procurement. Global providers use the full six-dimension framework below. Regional providers use a four-dimension track that drops coverage breadth and platform depth when those axes are off-topic for the buyer decision. Each dimension is scored 0–5 (one decimal), benchmarked against peers on the same track, and labeled with a qualitative tier so you can scan strengths without reading 3,000 words.

These scores structure and compare publicly available materials (provider sites, public review platforms, and related public references). They summarize public information via AI models. See the disclosure for the full source and role statement.

Why six dimensions?

Most EOR buyers fail on the same gaps: unclear entity ownership, headline country counts that mask thin execution, list pricing that ignores FX and offboarding fees, and support that works in US hours but not in APAC. This framework separates compliance depth from coverage breadth, platform quality from onboarding speed, and list price from total cost, because those trade-offs drive different shortlists.

The six dimensions

Aggregate scores are a weighted sum of the dimensions below. Weights reflect common procurement risk areas: disputes, cost surprises, and hiring delays.

Weight 25%

Compliance & Entity Model

  • Entity ownership clarity (owned vs partner)
  • Termination and offboarding risk
  • Statutory contribution accuracy
  • Data protection and contract accountability

Weight 20%

Global Coverage Depth

  • Owned vs partner mix by region
  • Regional execution depth (not headline count)
  • Immigration and work-permit support
  • Benefits administration quality

Weight 20%

Pricing & Total Cost

  • List price transparency
  • FX and markup disclosure
  • Setup and offboarding fees
  • Predictability at 10–50 headcount

Weight 15%

Platform & Integrations

  • UX and self-service depth
  • HRIS and payroll integrations
  • Reporting and multi-country visibility
  • Mobile access

Weight 10%

Onboarding & Payroll Ops

  • Contract turnaround time
  • Time to first payroll
  • Payroll cut-off reliability
  • Multi-country payroll consistency

Weight 10%

Support & Escalation

  • Response time across time zones
  • Complex-case resolution quality
  • Escalation path clarity
  • Operational guidance for Finance and Legal

The six-dimension weights above apply to Global providers on /reviews/. Regional specialists and service-led providers are scored on a separate Regional track (next section).

Regional Provider Scoring

Buyers evaluating a China specialist, a Canada-only EOR, or a staffing/BPO-style employment partner care about different things than buyers evaluating a multi-country software platform. Global Coverage Depth and Platform & Integrations measure breadth and product surface those providers never claimed as their core offer, so including them in the aggregate misranks execution quality.

A provider is assigned to the Regional track when at least one of the following is true:

  • Primary market is a single country or a small defined region (including roughly 4–5 countries), not multi-country/global reach as the core value proposition.
  • Delivery is service-led rather than platform-led (account teams and manual process; no meaningful self-serve EOR product).

On the Regional track the framework keeps four dimensions and re-normalizes weights to 100%:

DimensionWeight
Compliance & Entity Model40%
Pricing & Total Cost30%
Onboarding & Payroll Ops15%
Support & Escalation15%

Scores on the two tracks are not directly comparable. A 4.2 on Regional and a 4.2 on Global do not mean the same thing. Category averages and vs-avg deltas on each review page are computed only against peers on the same track. On /reviews/, Global and Regional providers appear in separate ranked lists.

UI badges use short labels: Global and Regional. They map to the Global Providers and Regional Providers sections on the reviews hub.

Qualitative tier labels

Every dimension score and the aggregate score receive a tier label for quick scanning:

Score rangeTier
4.7–5.0Exceptional
4.3–4.6Strong
3.8–4.2Solid
3.3–3.7Adequate
Below 3.3Limited

Category benchmarks

On each provider page, dimension scores show a delta vs the category average for peers on the same scoring track (for example, "+0.6 vs avg"). These averages are computed at build time from published site scores. Percentile rankings like "Top 5%" are not shown unless they can be computed from the same published dataset.

Data sources

  • Provider publications: Published pricing, contract terms, product documentation, and coverage pages.
  • Public operational references: Country hiring rules, statutory contribution tables, and entity-model information available in public registries or provider materials.
  • Third-party reviews: G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot scores where available, cited separately from the structured 6-Dimension presentation.
  • Buyer scenarios: Total-cost examples at 5–50 headcount using disclosed list or negotiated pricing where publicly available.

Compare rankings vs review scores

Compare pages (for example, Best EOR Overall or country-specific rankings) may use context-specific weights tuned to that buyer scenario. Provider pages use the Global or Regional track of the eorHQ 6-Dimension Score above. When a compare page uses different weights, or mixes Global and Regional providers, it links here and states the scenario (and track mix) explicitly.

Scores are not for sale

Scores, track assignment (Global vs Regional), and methodology-based ranking order are never for sale. Providers cannot choose or purchase a track. eorHQ does not sell affiliate referrals or paid Featured/Partner placement. Display advertising does not change 6-Dimension Scores or move a provider between tracks. eorHQ is operated by KASP Digital LLC (UAE).
